I have already wrote one article about the many uses of baking soda, but let's face it Baking soda has so many uses that no one article could contain them all.  Here are are more uses for that wonderful amazing products called baking soda.  Who would have ever thought that a product meant to raise baked goods would end up being such an effective house hold cleaner.

Get Your Dishes Cleaner - If your dishes are extra greasy and you want to be sure they are squeeqy clean simply add two teaspoons of basking soda to your dish water along with the detergent and the swish it around a bit.  The baking soda will help to remove any grease and will also enhance the ability of the dishwashing detergent.  Add two teaspoons of white vingear for really tough jobs.

Clean and Deodorize a Rolling Pin - Rolling pins especially wooden ones can carry a lot of bacteria and germs, you may think you have gotten them clean but with wood things can get inside tiny crevices.  Several hours before you know you are going to use your rolling pin use a clean washrag and some baking soda to give it a good thorough scrubbing and cleaning.

Get Your Rubbler gloves on and off easily - If you normally have trouble getting your rubber gloves on and off powder your hands up a bit first with either some baking soda or some talcum powder before putting on the gloves.  Be sure to wash thoroughly after the gloves come off.

Keep your steel wool or SOS pads from rusting - I always hated to use SOS pads because they always seemed to still be perfectly good when I was done with them but when I saved them they would be all rusty and yucky in a couple of days.  Now you can feel free to use those pads a couple of days later without worrying about rust.  Be sure to save a sphagetti sauce jar or a jar that is of similiar size and make sure you wash it out real good and dry it thoroughly.  Then fill the jar about 1/2 of the way up and then add in 3 tablespoons of baking soda.  Give it one quick shake. Then place your steel wool or SOS pad inside the jar and shut the lid tight.  Your SOS pad or steel woold should keep for about a week to a week and a half without rusting.

Removing BBQ Sauce:  If you get dried BBQ sauce on any surface including your grill where it gets burned on simply take 2 tablespoons of baking soda and mix it with 2 tablespoons of water to form a paste.  Place the paste on the BBQ sauce and let it sit on there for about 10 to 15 minutes then rub it off.  The BBQ sauce should come right off with the baking soda paste.
